A different type of transplant – one made of music
To start an important conversation about organ donation in Brazil, Joven Pan, the country's number one radio station, put together many songs that use body parts in their lyrics to make a sound transplant on air.
We partnered with a music studio that carefully crafted mashups, putting the organs of one track inside another. And suddenly, John Mayer's lungs were serving 4 Non Blondes, as Sinatra's skin was covering Rag N' Bone Man's body, and Toni Braxton's heart was beating inside Joe Cocker, to name a few.
Instead of launching them in commercial breaks, Jovem Pan courageously aired the songs within the radio's playlist, drawing attention to a subject Brazil insists on ignoring – despite it's 200 million population, the country makes less than 3 thousand transplants a year.
